Thank you for choosing to book with The Naight House. We look forward to welcoming you. When you make this booking you are entering an agreement with us. Please read our terms and conditions for booking below.

Coronavirus Guidance & Restrictions - The following Coronavirus guidance and restrictions are in place at this accommodation, in accordance with the current national and local Government guidance. You can read more about current advice and guidance for accommodation providers on the Gov.uk website here.

Please note our family dog lives in the house.

Bookings are normally a minimum stay of two nights from 1st April to 31st October, or three nights on Bank Holiday weekends, Christmas and New Year. Please check with us, as sometimes we have gaps that may fit in with you.

Booking must be paid by credit/debit card, so we will need your credit/debit card details at hand, please. Your details will only be used by The Naight House and we will not share them with any third party.

Special Requirements - If you or any member of your party has any special requirements – i.e. dietary – please let us know at the time of making the booking.

Non-availability - We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable due to reasons beyond our control. We would help to find alternative accommodation for you, and refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.

Check In and Departure Times - Arrival and check in times are between 3.00 pm and 7.00 pm on your day of arrival. We cannot guarantee that we will be available at any other times. On the day of departure guests are requested to vacate rooms by 11.00am. Early check in may be possible but only with prior arrangement and this will incur a surcharge. If you are held up on you journey and you think that you are going to arrive after 7.00 pm, you must let us know.

Property Left by Guests - We will inform guests of any property that they may have forgotten and left behind and if requested we will post these on. There will be a minimum £5 handling charge plus the cost of postage and package which will be requested in advance.

Accidents Happen - You must let us know immediately of any damage or spillage so that we can clean or repair as soon as possible to minimise the damage. We reserve the right to charge for any breakages and/or damage caused and will charge against the card held for payment. The persons making the booking will be held responsible for any damages. Please respect our home. Any muddy shoes/boots and wet clothing must be left near the front door or use boot trays.
We do not allow food/takeaway in rooms due to the risk of spillage, staining and odours.
Any specialist cleaning will result in a charge being made.
Lost keys will incur a £20 charge per key for replacement.

Smoking - The Naight House operates a NO SMOKING policy within all areas of the Bed and Breakfast, including guest bedrooms, bathrooms, public areas, corridors. You can smoke outside in the designated smoking area. For resident guests who do not comply with our NO SMOKING policy, a charge will be added to their bill to include the cost of cleaning all soft furnishing to remove the odour of tobacco.
Non co-operation of this No Smoking Policy could result in your booking being terminated without the proprietors being liable for any refund or compensation.

Car Parking - The Naight House has its own off road parking area with parking for 4 cars, which is free for residents use but this is at owner’s risk (cars and contents).

Children - As many guests come for peace and quiet, and because we can only accept 2 guests per room, we only take guests over the age of 16.

Disabled Guest Rooms - The Naight House at present does not have any disabled accommodation but we will do all that we can to accommodate less able visitors and those with special requirements. The Bed and Breakfast is built on many levels, with steps up and down on all floors of the house making it unsuitable for wheelchair access and for someone who struggles with stairs. Please contact us to discuss your needs and concerns.

Dietary Needs - If you have any special dietary needs please let us know in advance so that we can discuss and make sure we have suitable foods for your breakfast.

Dogs, Cats and Other Pets - Pets are not accepted.

Behaviour - All guests agree to respect the privacy and peace of all other staying guests, neighbours and the owners at all times. The Bed and Breakfast reserves the right to judge acceptable levels of noise or behaviour of guests. Guests or representatives must take all steps for corrective action as requested by the proprietors. In the event of failure to comply with management requests, the proprietors may terminate the booking or stop any event immediately without being liable for any refund or compensation.

Discrimination - It is the policy of the Bed and Breakfast not to discriminate on the grounds of race, colour, nationality, creed, sex, marital status, age, ethnic origin or disability. Guests are expected to adhere to this policy and the proprietors may, without incurring any liability to the guest, remove from the Bed and Breakfast any person or persons offending against this policy.

Comments and Complaints - We would like to try and resolve any issues you may have straight away so please make any comments or complaints regarding the stay to the Proprietor or representative at the time of visit.

Statutory Requirements - The Bed and Breakfast is subject to statutory controls, including those relating to fire, health, hygiene and safety. These must be strictly observed by guests.

Liabilities - Other than for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of The Naight House, the Bed and Breakfast’s liability to the guest is limited to the price of the booking. Unless the Bed and Breakfast is liable under the above clause, the guest indemnifies the Bed and Breakfast from and against any and all liability and any claims, proceedings or damages resulting or arising from the booking, The Bed and Breakfast does not accept responsibility whatsoever for damage to, or theft from, or theft of, vehicles parked on the premises. We reserve the right to charge guests the cost of rectifying damage, caused by the deliberate, negligent or reckless act, omission, default or neglect of the guests or sub-contractors to the Bed and Breakfast’s property or structure. Should this damage come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right to make a charge to guest’s credit/debit card or send an invoice for the amount required to make good or remedy any such damage, to the registered address. We will however make every effort to keep any costs that the guest would incur to a minimum.

Third Party Liability - The Bed and Breakfast does not accept any liability for services rendered by third parties to guests notwithstanding that such service may be arranged by the Bed and Breakfast. Any claim, demand, charge, suit or damages which may be incurred by the guest (or any person claiming thereunder) shall be made directly with such third parties and The Bed and Breakfast shall render all reasonable assistance in this regard.

Insurance - Guests are recommended to have and be responsible for insurance to cover cancellation, curtailment, and loss of baggage, personal effects and money.

Data Protection - The Bed and Breakfast respects the privacy of every individual who visits our website. The data collected about you will be used to firstly fulfil any service you might request e.g., make a booking etc. and secondly to improve our service. We will under no circumstances give your personal data to third parties. However, unless you specifically ask us not to (and this option is always given) we will use your data to send you further information from the Bed and Breakfast. Any e-mail sent to you will always provide you with the option to unsubscribe. This is in accordance with UK Data Protection Legislation. When making a booking, your credit card or billing account details are only retained for the purpose of handling that individual transaction, unless you ask us to keep these details for future purchases which you may make through us. In order to process a booking or enquiry, this will be destroyed on your departure. We adhere to the Data Protection Act 1998.
We are required to keep a register of guests over the age of 16 who stay with us, this includes full names and nationality, and/or passport numbers, place of issue, details of next destination if they are non-British, Irish or Commonwealth guests. This is in accordance with the (immigration (Hotel records) Order 1972). These records are kept for a minimum of 12 months and in accordance with the DPA (Data Protection Act 1998) and the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).

Dispute - These terms will be construed in accordance with English law and the Bed and Breakfast and Guest submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Wi-Fi Fair & Appropriate Usage Policy - Where Wi-Fi Internet access is provided, guests accept to use this access to the Internet fairly and appropriately. We may monitor network performance and user usage in order to maintain a fair and high level of service to all our guests. The Internet access provided is intended for general use such as access to the world wide web, email, messaging, social media, light video / music / media streaming. It is not intended or ideally suited for heavy media streaming, online gaming, extensive downloads / uploads. Access to illegal activity or use of our network for illegal activity is prohibited and will be reported to local authorities

Cancellation Policy - Once you have booked your stay, our agreement is a legal contract. Please let us know as soon as possible, if it becomes necessary for you to cancel or cut short your booking. We will release the dates for re-letting as soon as possible.
For bookings of more than three nights or for multiple room bookings, the following applies; if we are able to re-let the room for the same dates, or if the cancellation is more than 14 days before the stay we will refund your deposit in full.

If we are unable the re-let the dates, and your notice of cancellation is:
Within 7 days of the check-in date, the following fee will be applied → Full amount
8-14 days of the check-in date, the following fee will be applied → 50.0%
15 days or more of the check-in date, the following fee will be applied → No penalty

If you do not show or you cut short your stay (after arrival) the full cost of your booking is due.
For bookings up to and including three nights stay for one room then the following applies; if we are able to re-let the room for the same dates, or if the cancellation is more than 3 days before the stay we will refund your deposit in full. If we are unable to re-let the dates and your notice of cancellation is less than 3 days before the stay you will be charged the cost of the first night. If you do not show or you cut short your stay (after arrival) the full cost of your booking is due.
Refunds due through the cancellation of a booking by guests will be made by bank transfer only.
We strongly advise that you have travel insurance to cover you if you need to cancel.

Payment Policy - A reservation must be accompanied by the payment of a non-refundable deposit of 50 % of the booking total invoice. per room per night at the time of booking to secure your room. All prices given on this website are per room (double occupancy) and include a full English breakfast and VAT. Deposits are only refundable under the conditions set-out here within.
For all bookings we require credit/debit card details to secure the booking. For direct bookings via phone and those made via our website. Settlement of the bill in full, less any advance payments must be made prior to departure from The Naight House for stays of less than 3 days. For extended stay (3 days +) and multiple room bookings guest payment is required prior to arrival. All major credit and debit cards are accepted. Cash is accepted, cheques are not accepted. When paying using a foreign credit card payments are to be made in sterling GBP.
For bookings of more than one room, or for longer stays (3 days+) we reserve the right to request a non-refundable deposit & Full payment is required as stated on your booking confirmation.
Special Offers, late deals & single night bookings require payment at the point of booking
Any charges raised against us by our banks for handling dishonoured cheques, bank transfers or any other payments, must be reimbursed by the lead guest within 7 days of any request to do so.
