Rooms
The Paisley
The Paisley room is situated at the rear of the house, looking out onto the garden and all its wildlife. A light and spacious room with king sized bed, sofa and seating area overlooking the back lawn and the beautiful silver birch and maple trees. The room is named after the Paisley fabric pattern used on the soft furnishings and hand-painted feature wall. A small en-suite shower/bath, desk/dressing table, and lots of wardrobe space complete the facilities.
All rooms are non-smoking and equipped with television, Wi-Fi, radio, hairdryer, toiletries, bathrobes, and hospitality tray with homemade biscuits. Ironing facilities available on request.
We are trying to do our little bit for the environment, so our toiletries are presented in recycled glass jars, which we re-fill. The products within are 99% natural in origin, no SLS or Parabens, vegan, cruelty free and made in UK. Our loo rolls are eco-friendly toilet paper made from 100% super-soft bamboo. We don’t change sheets or towels daily (unless asked).
Ikat Room
The Ikat room has dual aspect windows with views of the front and back garden, ideal for watching the local wildlife. Named after the fabrics used on the soft furnishings, Ikat is a method of colouring fabric in patterns using resist dyeing. A super king-size bed, large en-suite bathroom with separate bath and shower, desk/dressing table are provided.

About Us
The Naight House is a small boutique Bed and Breakfast, situated on the banks of The River Severn. An ideal spot to watch the natural phenomenon of the famous Severn Bore.
The Naight House is approximately ten minutes’ drive from historic Gloucester and its Cathedral. It is twenty minutes from Cheltenham Spa, ideal for The Gold Cup and Literature Festival. We are located just off the A48 and A40 and a perfect starting point to explore the Cotswolds, Wales, Ross-on-Wye and the Forest of Dean. If walking is your thing, all you need to do is step outside, and the Gloucester Way footpath runs through the garden along the riverbank.
The Naight House origins can be traced back to the 16th century, the house that stands today was mostly built in Georgian times. The garden provides a relaxing haven in which to unwind with plenty of benches scattered around. If you are feeling more active why not partake in a game of croquet on the front lawn? From late January to early February the riverbank and small wooded area are covered with blankets of snowdrops. Spring brings the beautiful cherry and apple blossom. From May through to August, the gardens are awash with colour and scent. September is the perfect time to spot the many varieties of dragonflies. In need of solitude, “The Salmon Hut”, situated on the riverbank of the garden, once used for hanging nets to catch salmon, now furnished as a small writing/retreat room.

Minsterworth Severn Bore View Point
The Severn Bore is one of Britain's few truly spectacular natural phenomena. It is a large surge wave that starts in the estuary of the River Severn, where the tidal range is as much as 50 feet, and travels up the river all the way to Gloucester.

Gloucester Docks
The Historic Gloucester Docks is the centrepiece of the city and has an interesting history. It is close to the town centre, and Gloucester Cathedral.
There are many Victorian warehouses that make up the docks, and it is the home of the National Waterways Museum. The docks formed when the Canal from Sharpness opened in 1827.
Gloucester Cathedral
Gloucester Cathedral, formally the Cathedral Church of St Peter and the Holy and Indivisible Trinity, stands in the north of the city near the River Severn. It originated in 678 or 679 with the foundation of an abbey dedicated to Saint Peter.
Cheltenham Festivals
Just 15 miles away, the Cheltenham Festivals produce 36 days of festivals plus at least 180 days of year-round activity.
Every year more than 2,500 of the world’s finest musicians, writers, scientists, performers and thinkers go to Cheltenham to entertain and inspire festival audiences of all ages.
